Het Wapen van Wogmeer, run by the De Vries Family, has been the beating heart of the Wogmeer polder for more than 30 years. Dating back to 1918, this family business has a rich history and offers a unique combination of nostalgia and conviviality. After a devastating fire in 1926, the current building was built and has been a beloved meeting place for young and old ever since. The interior of the brown café is a true time capsule. Old billboards and photographs hang on the walls, and there is a well-playing jukebox and a pool table. The nostalgic decor makes you feel right at home. At the front of the café is a partially covered and heated terrace. A perfect place to enjoy the village life of Wogmeer. In the garden there is a second terrace where the sun provides a warm atmosphere in the evenings. Here parents can enjoy a drink while the children have fun in the extensive playground with slides, climbing frames, trampoline, trains and a family swing. This is also a fun place for the kids, as the beautiful garden features a nine-hole miniature golf course and a playground complete with chickens and rabbits. The miniature golf course is officially open from Easter to October, but the playground can be used year-round if the weather is nice. Guests who dine here can use the mini-golf course for free (reservations are required). For children’s parties, they offer a special package. This includes use of the mini-golf course and playground, two lemonade or soft drinks, fries with a snack and a water ice cream. At Het Wapen van Wogmeer you will experience a day full of nostalgia, conviviality and fun for the whole family. Come along and experience the passion of the De Vries family!
