What is a hot spot?
A hotspot is a restaurant, hotel, museum, indoor activity, outdoor activity, playground, pool, beach, amusement park, zoo, or hiking trail that you really need to go to with your kids. So for each city, you have a whole range of hotspots.
Has Kids Go Travel visited all the hot spots itself?
Of course we do our utmost to visit all hotspots ourselves, but since there are so many hotspots on the site it is so far impossible for us to visit them all ourselves. In each hotspot I will indicate if we have been there ourselves, and what I thought of it and what the kids thought of it. But that may be a while back and things change quickly, so they may not have that one cute little play corner with them, or they may no longer have the kids’ menu. So always check the hotspot’s website before you go anywhere. If you have visited a hotspot that is not yet on the site, please let me know!
If I request a custom trip, will everything be booked for me?
If you request a custom trip I will create an itinerary for you based on your needs, and provide several options for accommodations for each location. You can then view and book which one you like best. Of course there are handy links included so you can book everything directly. At the moment you receive the trip from me, all accommodations are still available but if you wait too long, some may already be gone. So don’t wait too long. In addition, I give all kinds of nice tips where you can go from the different accommodations, so all kinds of hotspots that are nearby.
What are the price ranges of restaurants used in hotspots?
In hot spots, coin stacks indicate which price category the food falls into. A main course only is always considered.
1 coin stack <10
2 coin stacks = 12.5-15
3 coin stacks = 15-20
4 coin stacks = 20-25
5 coin stacks > 25
Where do the ratings come from?
The ratings at the bottom of a hotspot with a link attached are all Google ratings. If you click on the Ratings & Reviews link you can read the reviews on the Google page. When I have been to a hotspot myself, I always give my own rating at the bottom of the text. And also the rating of my kids. So if you check the website regularly you will get an idea if our opinions match or not.
Is all information always 100% accurate?
We always try to keep the website as up to date as possible but it is definitely wise to always check the hotspot’s website for the most current information. Especially opening hours and prices change very regularly. We check all information once a year but of course things can change in the meantime. No rights can be derived from the information on this website.
Why do I have to pay for content that I'm sure is free somewhere else on the Internet?
A lot of hours go into creating and maintaining this website. The advantage of this site compared to other travel websites is that here you really have all the information together. Many other travel blogs and travel websites provide information about the hotspots they have been to, but you won’t find 50 different hotspots per city. So this means you spend a long time searching online. We take that work off your hands by collecting everything for you here. For a small fee we can maintain the site and make sure you always have access to the best hotspots.
When I click on the Ratings and Reviews link I don't see any reviews
Nearly every hotspot has a rating and a link. If you click on the link you should normally be taken to a Google page that lists all the Google reviews about that hotspot. Unfortunately, this does not always happen. This then has to do with the fact that the you are probably blocking your pop ups. This is because the link opens in a pop up. In this case, you will come to a page where you search for reviews on Google. You will have to change your settings to allow reviews. The best way to do this is to search on Google because it differs per internet browser.
